Please be informed that Box 70 is currently on-hold at PH Customs as a result of authorities discovering illegal drugs in cargo companies from Thailand to the Philippines, particularly in the shipment which includes Box 70.
Here is the update from our courier:
We regret to inform you about a delay in the delivery of your Balikbayan Boxes to Manila. The delay is a result of authorities discovering illegal drugs in cargo companies from Thailand to the Philippines, particularly in our most recent shipment. To ensure compliance, all cargo companies from Thailand are undergoing thorough inspections, causing a backlog in Balikbayan Boxes deliveries. This delay is due to standard procedures by the Customs Department and PDEA to prevent the transport of illegal substances through Balikbayan Boxes.
We recognize the significance of these boxes to you and your recipients and are working diligently to accelerate the inspection process for prompt delivery. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding during this period.
Currently, we do not have an ETA when our box will be released but rest assured that we will update you from time to time.
